Stuart Pendleton Cooksey, age 27, of Nashville, TN passed into the healing arms of his Lord and Savior on August 19, 2020. Stuart was born in Williamsburg, VA. He spent his formative years in Fairhope, AL where he fostered a love for saltwater fishing with his brothers and playing golf. In May of 2016, Stuart graduated Cum Laude from the University of Kentucky with a BS in Business and Economics, where he double majored in Economics and Accounting, and was a member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity. During his time at UK, he met the love of his life, Becca, and they were married in August of 2018. Stuart loved sports, especially Auburn football and UK basketball.
After moving to Nashville, he developed a new appreciation for running and hiking around parks in the city, usually listening to Taylor Swift. He loved his family dearly and was devoted to his Christian faith. Stuart was a Senior Accountant at LBMC and earned his CPA in September of 2019.
Stuart is preceded in death by grandparents S. Stuart Cooksey, MG Cooksey and Velda Sandifer. He is survived by wife, Rebecca Kemplin Cooksey; father, William Ross Cooksey, III; mother, Dona Sandifer Cooksey; brothers, William Ross (Candace) Cooksey, IV and Benjamin McCall (Amy) Cooksey; and grandfather, Earl E. Sandifer.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00PM CT Monday, August 24, 2020, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, 3009 Columbia Ave., Franklin, TN; Pastor Elliott Cherry officiating. Visitation two hours prior to the service.
